Whines and Spirits

In the darkness, they appear.

They torture and torment.

But light they fear.


When crowds gather.

Why can’t we sleep soundly,

Without trouble or fear?

Inside every nook,

Around every corner,

Lingering and loitering,

There they are.

Waiting to possess.


With my wings spread,

Knees bent,

I thrust into the sky.

A few seconds of bliss,

Until my tether

Stops me shy.

Curse those

Who have tied me

to this world.

The Angel And The Demon

On my way home,

I walk through the park,

Far in the distance, deep in the shadows,

I see a woman, covered in darkness.
